Why become a PADI Divemaster at Native Diving?
When you look at the Crew page on this website you will see that your PADI Divemaster training will be conducted by instructors with full-time work experience. By following our experienced instructors as they lead certified divers on ‘discover local diving’ dives you will develop the skills needed to give quality dive briefings, manage diver safety and spot those little critters that most divers can’t.
Why PADI Divemaster?
The PADI Divemaster program is your key to joining the professional ranks of the diving industry. PADI Divemasters are qualified to assist PADI Instructors with students, lead certified divers on guided dive tours, teach and certify PADI Skin Divers, teach PADI Discover Snorkeling programs, and conduct PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers. PADI Divemasters can also teach Emergency First Response programs after successful completion of the Emergency First Response Instructor course. PADI Divemasters work all over the world at local dive centers, aboard dive boats and yachts, and at exotic resort locations.
What will I do?
The PADI Divemaster program at Native Diving is a full internship: you become part of our Team! You will assist instructors with their courses, lead certified divers on guided dive tours, conduct Scuba Review programs, aid with equipment assembly and repairs, and help out with day-to-day shop maintenance. You will learn about dive physics, dive physiology, decompression theory, equipment mechanics, and general dive skills through several knowledge development examinations. You will also develop your dive skills to « demonstration quality, » create a map of a local dive site, execute a rescue scenario, complete a problem-solving challenge and complete a series of physical stamina tests. The most important part, of course, is the diving.
Where can I go from here?
You are now well prepared to start your Instructor course, where your consideration of other divers will be extended to an expert level.
